The incomparable Maytag Mead.
We start by bringing honey from Maytag’s eighty-year-old farm to the historic 1899 Rock Island Railcar Barn, home of Foundry Distilling Co. We ferment this estate honey to craft a delicate, floral mead and then introduce hints of vanilla and caramel from used American and new French oak. A wax seal made with beeswax from Maytag’s bees tops it all off.
